WhatIfSports.com is pleased to present its first widget, a tool that can be placed on blogs, MySpace pages, Facebook applications, personal homepages or downloaded to a desktop. This particular widget will be updated weekly to provide our NFL projections for the week including game matchups and fantasy standouts. You can see the widget below. We are already in the development of future widgets for more content such as our weekly college football predictions as well as more interactive features like SimMatchup and access to "My Teams." Information on how to download or add this or any future widget is below.
Every week, based on previous performance and injury updates, we refresh our fantasy football predictions for the next week. This thorough analysis and statistical evaluation of every player and team in the NFL is part of a broader endeavor with FOXSports.com's Fantasy Football. Each regular season game is simulated 61 times, with the sum of the averages of those games being our final predicted outcome. This allows us to account for ever player and stat. The widget will always automatically update with the new projections whenever we refresh our data. This is generally done every Tuesday morning, with individual games being replayed as late as Friday afternoon as new injury information is learned about players. Fantasy points in the widget are based on the FOXSports.com default scoring. For a detailed list of our projections for every individual fantasy player each week, please look for the latest Beyond the Boxscore article (also updated each Tuesday).
