It sounds like a fuckshow this season, with the division winners GOING ON THE ROAD for the first two games in the first round, but at least it's just a quirk because of the lateness of this decision and it will be corrected in 2013 and beyond. MLB network says that in 2013 they will go 2-2-1 in the first round and I HEARTILY applaud that setup. I was hoping they would also smarten up and then go 2-2-1-1-1 in the LCS and the Series but no such luck. I DESPISE the 2-3-2 setup with all of my blackened heart, it's a GIFT to the weaker teams. **** the travel argument. Get on the plane ye overpaid *******. Lose some sleep like those of us with real jobs do every night of the work week.

The 2-2-1-1-1 works in sports like Hockey and Basketball because they don't normally play everyday. Taking two weeks to play each series in baseball would be absolutely ridiculous. 2-3-2 works just fine. If you take a series lead and can't close it out on the road (like the Rangers last year), you don't deserve to be called the best.
