Wow......wow, wow, wow.

Seriously, stand up and pretend you're turning two. Then describe what you do. Step by step.

How in the hell else is the ball going to be thrown to 1B?
10/20/2007 7:53 PM
over yur shoulder like yur throwing salt.

or the ninja flying star flip. either way.

I GET IT!!!

While in the womb, uncleal's mother was doing some serious drugs and living next to a contaminated waste field. He was born with a arm that pivots inward. Thus no reason to turn to throw to first. Success!

MUTANTIST!!!!

I think you throw the ball under your crotch in the general direction of first.

1. I stand touching 2nd base, looking at 3rd base.

2. I take the throw from either 3B or SS.

3. My arm reaches into my glove and pulls the ball out.

4. My arm goes back my hand and the ball are about even length-wise, but higher than, my shoulder.

4 and a half. My head and torso pivots about 80 or so degrees toward 1st as I am making move 4. However, my legs do not move. This does not use any time as it uses the same time as 4 does.

5. I fire the ball to 1st. The ball will drop as the angle is not a straight 90 (too much loss of speed there), but it will still reach 1B before it hits the ground.

6. 1B goes low and snags the ball. Double play.

Did you miss the part where you turn from "looking at 3rd base" to maybe, I don't know, looking at 1st base?

The only way steps 3-5 are remotely feasible is if you fling the ball backhanded, and unless you possess some sort of amazing bionic powers, a 90 foot toss like that is going to be impossible, without even mentioning accuracy.

Mike, if you have to explain it to the guy, he hasnt played much ball. You might as well **** into a hundred mph headwind as to try to explain it to him.

So, you're saying that momentum plays no impact on the difference between a LH and RH 2B turning two?

Uh, you're standing still either way... I'm not sure what you mean...
