JUNE 1876, MY REDSKINNED BROTHER!!!!

HEY HEY HOKA HOKA!!!

11/19/2011 7:20 PM
Compensation finally settled, well the main part.  Chris Carpenter, a 27 year old AAAA pitcher, throws 100mph but has command issues.  No big deal from the Cubs view but I'm sure Boston will crow that they got the Cubs #5 prospect, according to MLB.com (it's not exactly Baseball Prospectus) but the Red Sox fans will feel like they "won".

PTBNL's to be swapped by both clubs, names to be released by April 15.

Well that's certainly better than nothing which is what I would have agreed to give up if I was the GM of the Cubs.

Some type of compensation was agreed upon before the Cubs were granted permission to talk to Theo.  Now, the Red Sox should have agreed to compensation before actually letting the Cubs talk to Theo but Luccino was being the douchebag that he is and dragging his feet and pouting that he couldn't have Garza or Castro.

this has been a non issue for a while, really....it is only a "win" in the sense that it is over and done with

but I'm glad you're sure that you know how Red Sox fans will react....

Within two hours and pouty?

They should have made the Cubs take Lackey.

It was confirmed over at SOSH...how they would react, that is.

SOSH is a yahoo circle jerk.....the people I know stopped caring a while ago, when it became obvious that we were not going to get anything of significance.....

Boston is better off, and for now Chicago thinks it is better off.......ready to move on to the year (actually, ready to move on to next year because this one has disaster written all over it)

The Boston Red Sox sold the naming rights to their spring training facility to Jet Blue Airlines, however if you try to find the jetparkblue.com site on the web, it takes you to the New York Yankees official web page.
