When did Victorino abandon hitting from the left side?
8/18/2013 10:50 PM
Victorino is having something of a problem with one of his hands and now finds it easier to bat from the right side of the plate. This was mentioned by Don Orsillo a couple of weeks ago during a broadcast, though he didn't really elaborate on any details of Victorino's problem.

His left leg is also bothering him.  He's been batting solely from the right side all of August.

Yeah, I thought it was a hammy too....it's been bothering him for a while....seems to be working

You got two real sacks of laughable crap for Youk.
The move was to put Gonzo back at 1B for good and to have Middlebrooks play everyday at 3B.  It's a addition by subtraction.
I disagree.  Youk was, is and always will be better than Middlebrooks.  It's a sign to me that hey they are dogging this season.  Can't believe they traded him
You are a fool if you think that Youk is better than Middlebrooks right now.

I can't stand the Debbie-downer fans in Boston.....can't stand the media either.  Yeah, the Sox are really just throwing the season away.

F'ing tards.
Admittedly, I have not been paying close attention this season.

I can however spot a flash in the pan.

Middlebrooks was uninspiring as a minor leaguer (solid extra bases but damn that K/BB split).  Why would you think he'll make a competant major leaguer?

Youk statistically has been below average this season, yes.  But he had earned the right to play here and turn it around (RE: David Ortiz).

It's dumb.
Just digging up old stuff.

I'd say that Middlebrooks looks like the real deal.

ISSSS that what you would say Mr. Mia Hamm??

*check out that k/bb split

Still young.  Kid has the talent.
Seems to be back on track.

from the things I have heard, his biggest problem was that he is an arrogant a-hole........which, if you are hitting is read as cocky and eccentric

hopefully, the time spent back on the farm has reminded him that no matter how good he may be, he still has to put the work in....

not quite a full redemption just yet...but quite a year nonetheless

all they had to do was completely undo everything Ego did and do the exact opposite of what he would have done to fill the holes.....

Jon Lester has become in this postseason exactly what he always seemed like he could be but never quite was....he is a dominant pitcher that can actually outpitch another good pitcher, even when that pitcher is throwing well.....pretty nice weapon to have

Was wondering when you'd bring up Lester again.  Knew the kid was a #1.  Just needed the big stage to show so people.

Hopefully, we get the recent Lackey....and not the Slackey that we've seen from last year.

Lester is not a #1.  To call him dominant is funny.  He's pitched great in his postseason games, though.
10/29/2013 1:40 PM
he has been dominant in the post season, and that is what I called him

I always called Lester a million dollar arm, ten cent head type of player....he has always been far too prone to losing his focus to be an ace

even this post season in his first start against Tampa, he was going great, then he didn't get a strike 3 call that he thought he should get and the next pitch got taken deep...I was thinking 'same old Lester'....but from the minute the Sox came back in that game, he has been lights out...good for him, obviously Boston is not in this position without what he has done
