O's dodged a bullet tonight. Fantastic game from Norris. Tommy got burned, but never should have happened - blatant check swing missed on 0-2 that should have ended the game. Still, props to Rasmus...that fastball was up near his shoulders.

Their bats are dead right now - they're getting guys on base, but that's about it. They need to find the thunder while the pitching is good.

To be fair, Kazmir is pitching out of his mind well right now himself...

It doesn't look like they are even really getting guys on base - they have one of the lowest team OBP in the leage. The team AVG is fine, but they're not getting on base. SLG is middle of the pack. Only 11 games in, though.

Kaz had a great opening start at home against Cleveland. He won his second start in Minny, but it wasn't fantastic - 3 runs, 6 IP.

I said above I expect 3.3-3.4.  Which would likely make him the #1 starter in Toronto, quite possibly in New York.  Probably #2 or #3 in Boston, depending on how Buchholz happens to pitch this season.  Still maybe as low as #4 in Tampa.  Those guys have some arms.
Yeah, I'm still skeptical. I'm thinking more 4.10-4.50.

Not much to say about that. Brutal game, though a few meaningless bombs in the 9th. I can't believe the number of warning track flyouts in that series.

Hopefully they can take advantage of TB's depleted pitching staff.

I'd bet you a WIS GC on that, but you don't even play any of the games on this account.

If you want to tell us what your main account is I can bet against that.

Tillman is an ace in the making.  Would love to see him as the number two in Seattle, with Adam Jones in center.

I'm pretty sure Iwakuma would still be the #2 when he gets back...

Plus you've got Chris Young.  Don't be greedy.

4/14/2014 5:23 AM
Seriously, Young looked really good today.
4/14/2014 5:23 AM
So, I'd rather have that Spanks Zip than Tillman.
4/16/2014 4:44 PM
Only fitting Tillman got the win tonight after getting robbed in his great start last time out. I was impressed that he stayed in it using just his fastball and change. He threw a couple curves, but clearly had no feel for it in the cold.

Schoop is heating up - this team will be a force when Manny's back.
4/19/2014 12:08 AM
Schoop has a good future, but he needs to be sent down for a while. His decision making his horrible. 4 of the teams 6 errors so far and then fakes Wieters out on the losing play by dodging the call at the last second and not cutting it off.
4/20/2014 10:47 PM
Did he dodge it? Or did no one yell "cut?"

That isn't his decision to make.
