Not an Orioles fan but I read some of it and was entertained.

If the Angels lose tonight the Orioles will have caught up to them to tie for 2nd-best record in the AL.

They do lag rather significantly behind all 3 of the top teams in the AL West in terms of run differential, though.

Only 3 behind the A's for best record in the majors. They've even passed the Dodgers. They're somewhat quietly having an amazing season so far.

I don't think Kazmir will have a sub-2.50 ERA all year. But has been and will continue to be better than Tillman this year.
Tell us what your real account is and I'll bet a $10 GC that Tillman has a better ERA+ for the remainder of the season than Kazmir.
This is now almost a dead heat - right now Kazmir's ahead, but after Tillman's 7 scoreless innings today I think he's going to pull ahead.

I'm sorry, I started working at 4 pm yesterday and just got home less than an hour ago.  A little tired, my math was bad.

Tillman is actually already comfortably ahead before 7 shutout innings.

Oops.

Still rather have Kaz.

Yeah, I don't remember what their stats were when this was originally brought up, but it's obvious that Kazmir has been the better pitcher so far this season.

Not since May 13...  Tillman's unadjusted ERA is lower, and he pitches in a much more hitter-friendly home park.

Well, okay, if you insist on throwing out a month of Kazmir's best starts. Congratulations. I'll take the full season.

Also, let me know when Kazmir faces a good opponent. Wins so far against Cleveland, Seattle, Minnesota, Houston x2 and Washington. Knocked around by Seattle and Texas
When you say "knocked around by Seattle," you aren't referring to the game that he struck out 9 in 6 shutout innings while only giving up 2 hits, are you. Because, to me, that's a pretty good outing. He also threw 7 shutout innings against Washington, a team I would consider a "good opponent."

Sorry.  I thought you said something about "continuing to be better than Tillman."

Which hasn't happened.

Christ.

Which would you rather have, 2014 Tillman or 2014 Kazmir?
8/26/2014 9:06 PM
Right now?  I'll take the guy with the 1.26 ERA in August.
8/26/2014 9:33 PM
Not that 6.28 isn't very tempting...
