40 lbs heavier than last season.  Hmmmmmmm.......

He's also 22. 22 year olds can put on muscle much faster than 37 year olds.

And it's only 10-15 lbs.

Now a reported 240 pounds, Trout was listed at 210 last season according to the Angels’ official website, but sources close to the situation believe he played at close to 220 pounds and looked like an NFL running back. At Angels’ camp this season, he is said to resemble an NFL fullback.

Looks like 30 lbs,  Of course, I can see scrambling around by him, his agent and the team now.  "Oh, no.   He was a solid 232 last year.  He's hardly gained any muscle at all!!!"

Is this scientifically proven, or is this based on faith?

A bit contradictory.   Listed at 210, "sources" say "close to 220".   Yet he reports at 240 and they say "10-15 pounds".   My math says something ain't right.

Read an article where they quoted scouting reports on him coming out of high school as saying "Body type - Brian Urlacher."  Maybe some teams passed on him because they thought he'd get too big?

I'm pretty sure putting on 10-15 lbs at 21 isn't a big deal over the course of 3-4 months.   Jadaveon Clowney, CFB, reportedly has gone from 255 to 274 in college off-season.   That's 6 weeks.    But, if it's 30-40, it's going to jump out in the current baseball climate.

Ok. But it isn't 30-40. His normal weight last year was between 220 and 230.
This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.

Of course, all of it is really hearsay at this point since he wasn't officially weighed after ST, so who really knows?

This was my response to my link:   "A bit contradictory.   Listed at 210, "sources" say "close to 220".   Yet he reports at 240 and they say "10-15 pounds".   My math says something ain't right.:

That said, CC was listed at like 265 and we know he was over 300.   I just don't know if they do that with guys who are in shape.
