Is that like, I live near NYC and often take mass transit into Manhattan, so I should expect terrorism, right?  Please don't donate to that cause, God forbid it should happen, because I should have seen it coming?

That I said.

Pretty much.   Large crowds are targets.

In Canada, maybe not.  In Manhattan - it's in the back of everyone's minds.  Walk through Penn Station once past all the cops with AK-47s and you're thinking about it.

Ok, fine, bust my chops because it was poorly worded. Fair enough.

I also don't donate to a cause that would have helped me with that. So, screw me too.

That's a whole lot difference than I expect it.

Your solid point is that something like this generates a lot of money for a set of victims most of whom would have had significant aid coming to them from other means, as opposed to the work of other charities with people who don't have other aid coming.  You should stick with that in the future and the leave the "it was predictable" part out of it.

In OK, you know you live in tornado alley, but I'm confident you don't expect a tornado to rip your house apart.

I would go so far to say that there are many people in NYC who do expect it will happen at some point.  There's a bomb tearing up Times Square a few years ago if the bomb worked properly.

I'll do my best sir. I'll sitemail you first for proof reading.

And I'd agree that it's a solid point.
