If everybody thought that defense could be evaluated by jumping off a cliff, would you also jump off a cliff?
Another bathroom visit, where life gets re-phrased... Some questions
are also worthy of re-phrasing... Sure... Why knot ???... Here goes :

Since U have already fallen off the cliff, & it's still a very long way 2 the
bottom of the cliff, -could U use 'UZR' to quickly place 1 'fielder' below
w/ a baseball mitt, --->>> who would 'UZR" place there, @ the bottom
of that cliff, -&--->>>  how BIG would his glove be  ???...

Can U answer that ???...  Pretty quickly ???...  Very quickly  ???...

This isn't easy... No Cecil, or Prince allowed... Find that fielder, quickly.

Yuppp, that's how eye re-phrase THAT question...

Beep-beep... Cloud of impact dust... Beep-beep, beep-beep...

That's all, folks !!!... This thread, founded on an ESPN defensive
metric being an 0-7 offensive equivalent, has been exposed as
a cartoon, revealing those invisible 'Mickey Mouse' ears on each
& every ESPN logo... Of course, the 'Disney' parent company has
also recently acquired the rights 2 "Winnie-The-Pooh", as well...

However, they do not own the rights 2 the 'Warner Bros.' cartoon
vault, which has trumped this thread 2 write, direct, & produce it...

In a fitting end, the ACME mail order company went bankrupt, -&
couldn't save the 'not-so-wiley' bad_luck coyote guy...

This thread will officially close now... Curtains, please... POOF !!!

I'm curious, with around one month left to go in the 2013 season, what BL's take on "Trout vs. Cabrera" is.
This year? I'll take Cabrera. The difference offensively is so big that Trout's large defensive and base running advantages don't make up the difference.
I'm going to go ahead and change my answer on this. Trout is the best player in baseball this year. The offensive difference is getting smaller and smaller everyday (especially with Cabrera playing hurt).

Trout for MVP.

A retard's attempt to revive a dead argument.     Rather than change your answer, just change your underwear.

Ok. Cabrera is better offensively. By a little.

Who's better at defense and base running?
9/10/2013 10:33 PM
Oh, are you now playing the "My negative 'dWAR, ************!!!' is better than your negative 'dWAR, ************!!!' card?

I love when people do that.
9/11/2013 5:59 AM
When did I cite dWAR? Do you think Cabrera is better defensively?
9/11/2013 9:30 AM
I think we should wait a full 3 years to see if Trout is actually good defensively.

And if it wasn't for Chris Davis, Cabrera would be much more valuable, right? (DERR TRIPLE CROWN!)
9/11/2013 9:38 AM
OK, seriously.  The case for Trout was a little better last year than this year.  I'll take the guy who gets on base more often and is easily a better slugger.  IMO, it makes up for the Cabrera defensive issues and any baserunning advantage Trout has.
