That's fine, it doesn't mean we shouldn't consider making rules in an attempt to avoid the breaking of legs.

You're allowed to wear equipment to protect you.  You're not allowed to wear equipment that's unnecessary and excessive and leads to more HBP.  Not rocket science.

"How can you determine how much protection I need?"

What do you mean, "how?" And it happens all the time.  In everyday life, and in baseball.  You have to wear a specific helmet when batting.  MLB is determining the protection you need.

The extra body armor was excessive (MLB decided this) and was leading to more HBP.  They got it out of the game.  Complaints were few and far between.

Ever since we started diagnosing concussions, it's all gone downhill.

Are there not smelling salts? Shake it off.

OH MY GOD!!!!! NOW NEUROLOGISTS ARE NOT RECOMMENDING THE USE OF SMELLING SALTS!!!!!!!!

I believe we have come full circle to the root of the problem.

Seriously, brain injuries are a myth. If your brain needed more protection, god would have made us with thicker skulls.

Who the **** is talking about brain injuries?   If we're going for safety, it seems like protecting elbows from thrown baseballs is a good thing.

This almost sounds like the PED argument.  "Well, yeah.   That safety equipment is fine but that other one is not."

If a suit of armor makes a player feel safe, why should MLB say "Whoa, wait a goddam minute.  That's TOO safe!!!"

Huh? It's a thread, not texting 12 year olds.

It's a thread full of retards who start talking about brain injuries when the discussion is centered on elbow armor.

Who the **** gets his in the elbow and suffers a concussion?    I could see it if a few of you were hit in the *** because that's where your head's at.
