If you watched 60 minutes last night, you know they have tons of evidence that he was on a PED program.
If you believe that 60 minutes segment was anything other than an MLB PR piece, I have a bridge to sell you.
I'm sure.  Doesn't mean there wasn't evidence.

Did I say that?
So what's your point then?

I'm positive there's evidence enough to suspend Arod for 50 games.

I'm not positive there's much of a case to suspend him for 162.

Why didn't ARod testify in his own defense at his hearing?

As Rob Manfred pointed out at the end of the 60 Minutes piece, nowhere in the record of the evidence is there an actual denial under oath from ARod.

Why do you think that is?

Well yea, the PED portion was 50 games (lots of evidence), and then there's the "other stuff."

Does ARod act like he's a completely innocent person?

Not testifying at your own defense hearing is not some sort of admission of guilt.

George Zimmerman never testified, for instance, and he was found not guilty.

That's the part that doesn't sit well with me.

The most damning piece of evidence revealed so far is the text records between Arod and Bosch. There's probably enough there to suspend him for 50 games. But the "other stuff?" Trying to buy the evidence before MLB could buy (or steal the evidence)? Bribing Bosch with money instead of legal protection? Eh...I don't see how that's more than 2x as bad as the original drug offense.

It may also be possible Bosch received a subtle death threat and was told to move to Colombia which is kind of a big deal, if true.  Like I said before, if my employer was trying to investigate something on me, and I did everything I could to stop them, while it may be in my right to do so, they'd fire me for ******* them off.  My punishment would be worse than it would have been if I did nothing to stop them.

You don't see the difference between buying evidence with intent to use versus buying evidence with intent to destroy?

What does 60 minutes gain from helping MLB against A-Rod?

Couldn't they have gotten access to the story via A-Rod?

Honestly, I think more people want to see A-Rod defend himself than some unknown "doctor" cast out accusations.

Honestly, as this point, I've heard enough of ARod (feel like they're always talking, but what has been said, exactly?) and want more from MLB.  Lemme see that evidence.

The "evidence" presented last night was tons of texts from A-Rod asking when to take this or that(code words were used).   Of course, A-Rod is going to say they were talking about legal supplements.    And a deposit to AB's account from A-Rod for 49k.   The "problem" for A-Rod is that all of AB's other customers took their suspension and walked away from the whole thing.

Now I'm assuming there is something linking A-Rod to obstruction, maybe a text asking how much it would cost to make this go away or a veiled threat, but it wasn't shown last night.   But AB said he was told it would be good for him to go to Columbia til this blew over.
