Puig vs. Trout Topic

Other than quality of video, and handedness, what's the difference?

Pretty sure a lot of guys are doing the bat flip.    Why single out Puig for it?
Act like you've been there before.

Tell that to David Ortiz.

I am very intrigued to see if Puig can keep up .950-1.000 OPS numbers.  He's obviously incredibly talented, and if he's still a little raw (possible) it's also possible he could get better.  I do think the immaturity angle is driven by the media somewhat, it's probably blown out of proportion.
I guess someone should explain what "immature" behavior he exhibits.

Late?  Yeah, tighten that up.   Otherwise, you look like a primadonna before you've earned it and that is a clubhouse issue.
Unreasonable celebrations?    If the guy who bats behind you is getting drilled, re-evaluate what you celebrate.
Bad on-field decisions?   Figure out what you're doing wrong but don't lose enthusiasm for playing the game.
Off-field crap?   Don't sweat it while playing well but know you'll be criticized for it when you slump.

Is there anything else that makes him "immature"?   Because, if that's it, it's not very much to worry over and should be easily fixed.
I think you explained it.  It rubs people the wrong way when you act a certain way but haven't earned it yet.

I think it was Tuesday when he missed BP because he was doing an interview.    IMO, that's just a bad decision in setting priorities.  As I understand it, he was late arriving to the ballpark and had promised an interview.  They waited on him and, instead of saying "Sorry, I'm late but I have to take BP.   Can we do this afterwards?", he does the interview first.    I guess it's a double-edged sword as the reporter will say "He was late and blew me off.   What a primadonna" but, if nothing else, he put his job first.  I think that would get him more respect in the clubhouse.

Tell that to David Ortiz.
Bad comparison.  He's a big punk and a big *****, as his whining about David Price clearly shows.

Even a Yankee fan has to admit that the Sox got screwed in that game.

Both statements can be true.

Kings and Rangers.
Still early, but I gotta go for the guy that plays for the Kings.

I didn't see the game.  I only saw the reports about Big Babi crying about Price.  As if he doesn't understand that's how baseball works.

Did you just hashtag????

Aren't you 75?

No, seriously. What is it about Ortiz being upset about being hit on purpose leads you to believe that he doesn't understand how baseball works?

People get hit by pitches. There will be retaliation. Stop being a *****.

I think he was mad, not just because he was hit, but because he was clearly hit on purpose, the umps warned both teams and, when Price hit another guy, Price wasn't tossed.

Final score:

Red Sox hit: 2
Rays hit: 0

Red Sox players and coaches ejected: 3 (or 4?)
Rays players and coaches ejected: 0

Red Sox suspended: 1
Rays suspended: 0
