You're minimizing his accomplishments by calling him a compiler as if it's easy to average 24 home runs and 150 hits a year for 21 years. If it's no big deal, it seems like a lot of guys would be able to just compile 500 home runs and 3000 hits.
If there are a lot of guys that have done it then, yes, you're right, he doesn't belong.
On the other hand, if only a few have done it, then it probably isn't easy and shouldn't be used as an argument against Beltre's induction.
So, I ask again, how many guys have been able to compile 150 hits and 24 home runs a year for 21 years?
