Seattle can't get too high and mighty, you still have the Mariners.
Trust me, we all know that... at least their stadium is nice and they have a great beer selection.

Seattle should be buying Matt Schaub dinner for the rest of the year.  What a gift he gave them.  Yikes!

Not a good play by Schaub, for sure, but that was just great scheming and execution by the defense... they had been practicing that play all week.  There was a free blitzing safety right at the play-action bootleg and tight coverage on the primary receiver.... you can't say that is all Schaub.

This was a **** play by Schaub. This is something you'd expect of Blaine Gabbert. Just take the damn sack instead of a fade-away lob.

Ask yourself "How many  of the top QBs make that throw?"

Then decide if it was **** decision by the QB or great defensive scheming..

Richard Sherman’s interception return was no accident for Seahawks | Seahawks | The Seattle Times (http://seattletimes.com/html/seahawks/2021929217_shermansidebar30xml.html)

"Quinn noticed on film that Houston liked to roll out Schaub off play action in short-yardage situations, then have him quickly dump the ball in the flat. So when the Texans faced a third-and-four with about three minutes left, Quinn dialed up a play designed specifically to thwart that. "

"Seattle’s defense had seen that exact play in Friday’s practice when going against the scout-team offense. In practice, Sherman also picked off the pass in the flat"

"Defensive end Chris Clemons said Seattle’s defense doesn’t run that play often, but he said Quinn knew what Houston would likely do on that play based on the Texans’ formation and down."

Kam Chancellor is a very big, very fast, hard-hitting dude; Matt Schaub is a a slow, *****-*****... if he takes the sack there, odds are its a fumble returned for a TD.

Seattle still had to make the play but a good QB isn't throwing that pass in that situation.

Or he could have seen the defender and slid instead of throwing a Kobe Bryant fadaway.

This.

It was an outstanding defensive call, so they put Schaub in a spot where there were no good options, but he picked the absolute worst - especially given the game situation.

This is grasping at straws - most sacks result from very big, very fast, hard hitting dudes hitting the QB.  Most do not result in fumbles.  Schaub saw the heat coming, and since he had time to throw, he had time to put the ball away.  There's no way taking a sack is worse idea then tossing a lob out into the flat.

So he should ensure himself of a turnover?  3rd Down; he threw where the blitz came from, which by Houston's scheme, should have been open, except Seattle's scheme was better and Sherman made a great play.  Agreed it wasn't a good play by Schaub, but we don't have this discussion about every other INT a QB throws... why is that?  Don't you think that the majority of INT's were bad throws or throws that shouldn't have been made?
