Cinci's problems are a lot more with coaching than their QB. That isn't to say I think Dalton is a great QB (he isn't), but I think a team could win with him. I just don't like the coaching on the offensive side of the ball for Cinci at all. It really is bad. I mean Cinci had over 100 more yards, over 20 more plays, won the time of possession, etc. and lost the game by 17. Now sure the turnovers certainly played a part in that, but they should have scored more than 10 even with all of that.
I realize it was wet, but I was very surprised they didn't try for the 56 yarder in the 4th quarter. Statistically, what's the better bet: hitting a 56 yard FG or converting on 4th and 13? They were down by 10, so going for the FG made the most sense there, especially with how Dalton was throwing today.
Cincy was so dominant at home this year, I'm surprised they were able to look so horrid today. SD gets credit for the win, but I think Cincy gave this one away more than SD won it.
