Journeyman Progressive League-Season #8...FULL Topic

Okay, Brett.

I have been  in the 3000 hit league from the start and have really enjoyed it.  This league reminds me of that league and should be just as much fun.

Put me down for Dick (Ducky) Schofield.  15 WiS elligible seasons (1957-1971) with 8 different franchises. No awards or all star selections.  That's what I call a journeyman.

I am willing to wait this out as long as it takes.

FBD/Mike

If this league gets going I will take Alan Embree (1996 - 2008).

I assume baseballreference.com determines eligible teammates to be used in a given season?

Yes. BBRef is the source for everything. Just so long as said player has 12 WIS eligible seasons and played for 4+  teams that have WIS elgible seasons.

I'll take Mike Stanton (1991-2007). Are clones allowed?

Alright...after spending WAY too much time rummaging around bb-r.com, I've decided to try and switch my journeyman from Craig Counsell to Jeff Nelson.  Though I have a question about his eligibility. Nelson played with 4 different teams, but with one of them (2004 Ranger) he played only one season and it's not a WiS eligible season.   Is that okay?

I would say no, because it appears that if his 2004 Rangers season is not WIS eligible, then definitely his 2006 White Sox season will not be WIS eligible either. So he would then only have WIS eligible seasons with the Yanks and Mariners.

Well that's no good.  Oh well.

What about pre all star game years? Pending that answer I'll take John Olerud.

I guess on that, I'd have to make a decision on a case by case basis. I don't want to give one team too much of an advantage. That's a great question. The spirit of the league is to find a guy that bounces around and see which one of them played on the best team, twistable, year by year. Thanks for joining.
