To honor the mid-summer classic, choose an exclusive year & league then compile your roster of players that made the all-star team that year.  Players must be used the actual year they made the all-star team.  NO twisting!

Players that were selected to the team but replaced due to injury are eligible. 

There are going to be some players used outside the realm of the normal studs & cookies from WIS.  Just because it's an all-star team doesn't mean the best players are on the roster!

Watch carefully for players that were traded and make sure you're selecting the appropriate split season for your all-star player.

First come, first serve by claiming a year + league in forum.

League rules:

• $165 million cap
• Seasons: 1963-2012
• DH both leagues
• Stadium must be where the AS game was played your year.
• NO: WW, trades, clones, AAA, twisting.
• Injuries turned on since you'll have a deep bench.
• SLL:  No restrictions/requirements.
• Divisions aligned by year/league.
• Standard 24 teams, 6 divisions, 8 playoff teams format

The early Allstars are pretty much unusable since there were only 4 or 5 pitchers per squad.

I will join with 2004 NL

I put together a 1980 NL squad & they only had 9 pitchers total with just 2 relievers (Tekulve & Sutter).  Those were grown men back then!

I spent only 145M on my squad.

I may take an AL squad, too. If that's cool with you, worm.

From the 50's or 60's to keep my teams separated.

I'm still going to tinker with settings until we get filled.  I don't think any team would get anywhere near $255 mil but wanted to leave enough room since we're drafting all-stars!

May just use 1963-2012 seasons since there were 2 AS games played in 59, 60, 61, & 62.  Could get a little confusing for some owners.

Good point brewmeisters.  I compiled a 1993 NL team that came in at about $143 million and that was with 4 too many players on the roster!

So maybe $140 mil cap is more appropriate?  I'm going through and compiling teams for each year/league to get an idea of salaries.  WIS needs an auto load feature for all-star teams!
