One of Deacon McGuire's 11 teams is Toledo 1884, which is not in the database. Should I just ignore that franchise and treat McGuire as having 10 teams?

I apologize...I tried to sort those out. In this case, treat him like he has 10.

Matt Stairs played for 13 teams

I have tried several ways to try and get Stairs @ an 80 million cap and I just can't get it done ---- I am going to have to drop out frazzman80 --- sorry --- everytime I wind up at about 85 million.

Jfranco - The Philly' a's only count as one franchise.

Actually, the 1891 Philly A's (Player's League) are their own separate franchise from the 1887-1889 version (American Association): http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/PHQ/

There were 2 Philadelphia Athletics in 1890...WIS just lumps both teams together (handy info if you ever want to play a single season franchise league by the way).

I had the same issue with the 1898 (NL) and 1902 (AL) Washington Senators.
