See if anybody can figure out these two players...

Player A  (playing in Dodger Stadium)
10 GS, 63 IP, 78 H, 40 R, 37 ER, 2 HR, 12 BB, 88 K, 1.43 WHIP, 5.29 ERA
(defense has made 11 + and 9 - plays)

Player B  (playing in Pro Player Stadium)
10 GS, 74.2 IP, 59 H, 22 R, 21 ER, 4 HR, 16 BB, 80 K, 1.00 WHIP, 2.53 ERA
(defense has made 10 + and 7 - plays)

It's the same DAMN player.  Except Player A is playing in a 90M league while Player B is playing in a 120M league.  What the f**k?

apparently i'm stupid.   my teams go 1--11 for 2 sessions then 9-3 then back to 1-5.   I don't understand how to keep them rolling

schwarze, Player A clearly is suffering from an inflated BABIP. His FIP is fantastic and he should regress soon. Resist the urge to trade him.

LOL.... good advice...

First back-to-back positive cycles since 8/13 PM2 and 8/14 AM. (I've only managed it three times so far. However, I have no Mauchs, and no days worse than 7-11.)

My $120M team was four games above .500, then dropped 11 of 15 to reach three games under, and hasn't lost since - a W12 to get nine games over. That's good for a whopping 1-game lead, plus a 2-game lead over third place. (Forum jinx? whatever. I have no illusions about my ability to contend overall. I'd rather enjoy the good run while it lasts.)

My $70M team is making a run back toward .500, and my $100M team is hanging out around five games over. The other three are done - the worst is at .378, my $110M DH team that proved me right (on a 2-12 run right now), so not terrible, but far enough back that nothing will turn them around.

Still, I'm outperforming my seed, and there are some interesting names below mine. I'll take it.

Been waiting on this one, in the $100 mil league, closer Norm Charlton finally notched a win. Why is that noteworthy? Now that Norm finally got one...

My entire pitching staff has at least 1 win! The entire staff, mop-ups, set-up. Wins for everyone! Pretty cool I think.

In the $80 league lead-off hitter and walk specialist Walt Weiss has 199 PA's and a .312 OBP.  Not great, but not terrible.  What makes him noteworthy is that in those 199 PA's he has a grand total of 3 RBI.

3-3 in the PM cycle today. Three shutout losses, two shutout wins, and a 7-1 win where the only run I gave up came on four walks in the ninth inning, with the last walk coming with two out.

Reminds me of one of my favorite odd-ball historical seasons.

2000 Luis Castillo
626 ABs, 180 Hits, .334 AVG, 17 RBIs

You're generally going to struggle to drive in runs when you can't get the ball out of the infield. 60 of his 180 hits were infield hits.

I had him on a fantasy team one of those seasons. The SBs and runs made him look decent, but the sub-.400 slugging (not once did he break .400) always killed it.

What fantasy league were you playing in in the early 2000s that included SLG?  I could never get anybody to play leagues that used OBP or SLG.

It kind of sucks having 1 team that will keep you out of any contention to moving to the next round.  The whole team is a statistical annomoly

Yes, the dreaded Spider.

FIX the STUPID mop-up logic!!!  Apparently I need more than "Only use mop-up when losing" .  You don't bring in the mop-up when losing 2-1 going into the 7th inning when you have several setup A guys at 100%.  C'MON MAN!

If this were a one-time thing I'd say, hmmm, that was odd.  But this has cost me numerous games and now I've had to set my mop-ups to rest which hurts my innings planning.....................
