Actually I am a fan of open bidding and think that close bidding really bring nothing of interest for me.
So, what about owners who due to work, sleep (don't know guys' time zones), or even just life activities, are not able to access this site every night at 9:59?  They should just get shafted?

A salary cap only introduces a form of fatigue that in no way resembles RL. The form of fatigue used on this sim is possibly a form of competition, but has nothing to do with basketball. What you end up with is a league full of teams that have no way to really control poss. penalty or any other coaching options. In short the same poker hand 82 times....better hope it a winner, because there's nothing you can do about it if it isn't. The single instance availablity & auction will be limiting enough.

This makes absolutely no sense.....

I actually kinda like it. Every other draft league we do has a salary cap, and it's true that's the best way to have parity, but I think it's OK to do something different.

Smokeys 90s draft league doesn't have a cap. I like having a salary cap to keep the playing field somewhat level, I don't really care if there is parity n the league or not.

ncmusician_7

and

tarheel1991

need to both jump in - with both feet.

The fallback or negative aspect for you both entering this league,
is that I am a 4th generation Kentucky fan,
and rather enjoy debunking your ACC feed delusions of grandeur.
I got a 55 gallon barrel of whip a$$  waiting to open for any and all
Dukie and Heel -
GO BIG BLUE !!!

PS: If I can not entice you with a strategic variation challenge,
or a trash talk against your fav. team, then I'm at a loss.....

come on tarheel1991 and nc_musician7,
what do we have to do to secure your commitment here?

someday you can look back on this,
and tell your grandchildren: "I was there when it all started"

You could be the #15 and # 16 commitments,
but you'll always be #1 in our hearts.

Make it a $52M cap and I'm in. Also, how r u going to prevent people from editing and deleting posts that contain bids?

1. Cap is irrelevant(or relative) whatever makes you happy!
2. Create a penalty for unfulfilled bids players in unfulfilled players bids enter in the next lot....
3. Also quote the highest bid as it is approaching closing time
4. If a problem arise we figure it out!

It always says if a post has been "edited"

Not if it is done within the same minute.

in case we go this way, we need a non participant to run the auction.... where are we gonna get that?  Certainly not, costumer unservice!  It is a good idea but the problem is finding someone to run the auction,  the majority agree which can be difficult!  I think right we should focus getting those 8 owners left and the details can be iron out in the end!!
