Exclusive Ownership XLII RESULTS Topic

Second round results time. Six owners completed, which is rather high. In fact we only have 42 more players to go. Only two players were claimed as many as three times.

Next, sitemails to everyone including the league number to those that completed. (I just gave away a piece of info. Any veterans know what it is?)

Sitemails have been sent and the master list is updated. The fact that there is a league number means...the commish has completed his roster. This is first time this has happened in just two attempts since....I don't know when. It's been a while, though.

I've definitely never come close to finishing in two rounds before, but there you go. turns out drafting all Phillies (inspired by the commish's all-Pirates team a few seasons ago) gets you finished right quick.

If you drafted all Phillies, how in the hell did I end up with Mike Schmidt?
5/15/2013 12:10 PM
uh, because I drafted Dick Allen?

It's nice to be remembered for something.

The thought of an all-Pirates team made me cringe.  Not because I hate them or anything, but because I have the Bucs in a theme league that newark and I are in together.  That team was a challenge to assemble, as it's only 1969-present.  Not much pitching in Pittsburgh in those years!

Can't argue with you about Pirate pitching. (There's a reason why there are no pitchers in the Hall as Pirates.) However, I believe the Bucs hold their own in WIS. I won a league where everyone used three consecutive seasons of a franchise where the cumulative record had to be under .500. My team was 1987-89 Pirates.

Sounds interesting.  What was the cap?  The league I run is a $120 million cap, and the Pirates aren't chosen all that often.  When they are, they're usually decent, but have only made the playoffs a couple of times.  This season, we're 30-28 and in 2nd place in our division.  Both the hitting and pitching have been mediocre but not terrible.  If you want to check out the theme, it's just a few threads below this one...Rule V.  You can see the draft results, theme rules, etc.

Taint is last one out for round three. Reminder sent.

I think the cap in that league was 90M, but I'm not sure.
