Influence and power are not the same thing.

Rush can lead a conversation and get people talking about something.

In terms of actual power he has none. He supports traditional Conservatrive issues. He doesnt invent anything.

He is the guy that stands up and makes us feel good about oursleves.

But you can't really argue that conservatives favor smaller government, because the ones that have been elected President have grown it, raised taxes, and increased the debt. So really, they are only conservatives of convenience, not conscience. C'mon, Rush has been married four times, is that a "conservative" value and someone that truly believes in the sanctity of marriage?

Reagan and Rush didnt make liberal a slur. The polices of liberals made them a slur.

Bussing, welfare, gun control, gay rights and tax and spend policies. Just a few of the beliefs that made the liberals change their names so no one would recognize them.
