I have a team in Shibe Park. I have 4 outfielders with 688, 641, 631, and 105 PA's. Will that get me through the season or do a need a 2nd back up OFer?

Depends where they are hitting in the lineup.
I don't have experience in Shibe Park but if they are hitting 3rd, 5th, and 6th respectively, that should be alright.

Unless you are going to have them in the bottom half of your batting order or if you don't mind playing fatigued players (< 100%), I'd recommend getting another backup OF (especially if the OF with 105 PA is also your primary pinch hitter).

Thanks jj and budd. I'll probably play it safe and have another backup.

you should be more than fine.  I would go with what you have.  Total PAs (including pinch hit appearances) will be 2272.    I don't think you need anohter backup.

i i agree with redswing. i think if you shuffle the lower pa guys around you'll be fine with just that one backup

Cap? This matters.

No cap, but most teams will be around $120-130M I would think.

you have plenty of PA. if they do fall below 100% it's very fixable, just bat them lower in the lineup for a few games. or let an infield backup play OF for a game. if your backup gets fatigued he'll stop pinch hitting and the problem should fix itself.

I still think you'll be fine with the 2272 total PAs - an amount that includes the 10% bonus.    It averages out to 757 per OF position (2272/3= 757).  Presuming the guys don't bat 1, 2, & 3 in the order and your back up isn't used much as a PH (set accordingly,  the guys should be able to play at 98-100% all the time.   It depends on the park and, as mentioned, their position in the order but the latter is something you can manage as you move through the season.   Just be sure the 4th guy isn't used up by pinch hitting a lot.

If there's a DH, if you change your PH settings for your starters, then the 4th guy will rarely, if ever, pinch hit.

Didn't the site change the max PA per game awhile back that counted against fatigue?

quite awhile back. As I recall, players no longer fatigue after 6 PAs in a game.
