Woo-hoo.  With a seven game World Series Victory, I earned my Coors Wings!
I've had a ton of Coors OL teams...make playoffs, maybe make the WS...never won it all.

I switched to a cookie team of guys like Dilone, Bip, Raines, Vizquel, etc. and played in stadiums other than Coors and promptly won 3 WS in a row.

My hat's off to you for "earning your Coors wings" - no easy task.
Odd, this is my 3rd WS victory in a row after a year long drought. BTW, this is my first Coors team. I was lucky to win this one.

I guess it depends upon the definition of "quality."  I've got Toney (112), Nehf (119) and Dumont (46) all in the pen, for 277 what I would call "quality."

Others:
1907 Jake Weimer (222 IP, 4.51 historical performance ERA)
1904 Frank Corridon (207, no historical info)
1907 Johnny Lush (153, 4.47)
1908 Frank Owen (150, 4.94)
1903 Ed Killian (72, 5.13)
1899 Tom Thomas (28, 4.76)
1909 Charlie Smith (27, 5.17)
1914 Guy Cooper (27, 10.01)
1993 Miguel Jimenez (27, 8.59)
1974 Steve Kline (26, 5.72)

1216 IP, $30.2 million

Given that we're in Coors, I expect the ERAs to be much higher than these historical averages.

So far so good:  18 games into the season, 5.46 ERA (including 8 waiver wire scrubs who have started a game each with a combined 1-3 record).

Offense has put up 156 runs (8.7 per game)

10 wins, 8 losses

Quality is a relative term, I guess.  Any pitcher that you don't intend to run out on absurd pitch counts and generally abuse, I consider quality

I look at the guys I have - the best I could find to hit 1200 IP and keep my pitching payroll at $30,000,000 after drafting Nehf, Toney and Dumont, and I don't see any quality at all. In fact, I picked Weimer, Lush and Corrigan because they can hit a little bit.

Compare your quality guys to mine; playing in Coors, I'll be lucky to have a team ERA below 6.00.

I think I spent ~$33M on pitching with this last team.  My ERA was averagish overall, but I led the league in away ERA.  Of course, I had awesome defense.  I'll see if $30M on pitching is possible...

Imagine the offense if every team played at Coors and limited pitching to $30 million...

Just completed the regular season, making the playoffs with 94 wins.

All 8 of my starters scored and drove in at least 100 runs, made the All-Star team and 7 (including a pitcher) were Silver Sluggers.  HoJo and Knoblauch set Historical Performance bests.

The offense led in nearly every catagory:  Runs (1408), Hits (2058), 3B (100), HR (234), RBI (1371), BB (797), HBP (69), AVG (.334), OBP (.413), SLG (.529), OPS (.942).  Second in 2B (300) and average in SB (174 of 234).

Of course the pitching didn't fair as well, 6.54 ERA, but it did have a 20-game winner (Jake Weimer, 20-6, 5.03).  I started scrub pitchers 34 times; they combined for a 7-15 mark.

Awesome.  Good luck in the playoffs!

Lost in second round...still, a successful team.  My goal was to field a team that would average 7 runs per game...we averaged 8.7.

It is hard to get an offense heavy team through the playoffs.
