Well, not really ... But can anyone think of a reason a team would, year after year, have their opponents always shoot poorly on free throws that I'm not thinking of? Because no matter how well or poorly my team shoots free throws, my aggregate opponents always seem to shoot them poorly.
You are facing alot of sim teams on your schedule. They have sub-optimal practice plan, leading to lower aggregate FT grade. They also have weaker teams, leading to foul trouble and fatigue. Furthermore, they have inefficient substitution plan, reinforcing the fatigue point. Fatigue leads to inefficient performance on the court, which affects ft%.
This is the same reason for why year after year, your team's fg% is always higher than your opponent's fg%. If you play a full human schedule, this wouldn't be the case.
To see this more clearly, just look at the teams with the top 10 SOS in your world. Their opponents' ft% is generally over .700.
