Picking up a new team Topic

I have been coaching now for 12 season and am starting to feel good about my grasp of the game and think I am ready to pick up another team. Plus i hate the down time between seasons. I am currently coaching  Wabash in D3 Naismith. This team runs a fast break/zone and i am wanting to try something deifferent. I am also wanting a conference that is full or close to it. Don't really care what world except of course not Naismith and only a one a day. Can anyone point me to some teams in almost full conferences so i dont have to go into each world and check.

Also in Wooden, the NJAC conference has 3 openings right now, possibly another 1 or 2 will become available after the season rolls on December 5th.

Wooden is the next world to open and I would suggest as above looking at the USA South, NJ, or CCIW. We all have a tournament with each other (and St. Louis) and each is active and on the rise. I'm partial to my boys in the USA South who are currently 4th in conference RPI (yeah, we've cracked the top 4 - you 4 superconferences be darned!) and have a beastly west division that has a shot at sending 5 of its 6 teams to the NT. Very active group of guys. We'd love to have you there, but again, if you end up adding a team Wooden, those are the 3 conferences to look at.

Agree with everyone above. We would love to fill up the CCIW in Wooden. We have 3 teams that should make the NT and 3 teams that should make the PIT this year to make some extra recruiting money. We also have an active group of coaches and coaching board. Recruiting is always challenging in the CCIW because of the proximity to several of the super-conferences (Michigan / Midwest / Minn are all full)

The CCIW has 3 available teams:
Illinois Wesleyan runs a motion / press but does not have any open scholarships this year.      http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=3727
North Central has 2 open scholarships, runs a motion / zone.          http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=3729
Northland has 2 open scholarships and runs a motion / press.            http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=3735

Wow, didn't expect that much help....thanks a bunch!  Wooden seems like the world i want to get into and there appears to be three conferences that are viable options. CCIW, USA South and NJ as jsajsa said. Quick question, how can i reserve a team now? I went to the choose a team and it wouldn't let me reserve.

Jdno beat me to the punch.  The NJAC is a solid conference with an active coaches corner and great world in Wooden.  Would love to have you on board.

That's pretty odd, as you should be able to reserve a team in Wooden right now.  Does it give you a message or at what point does it block you?

I've supplemented the team info I provided before with the offenses and defenses played by each team as well as how many kids will be leaving after this season.

http://whatif.cincinnati.com/hd/TeamProfile/Default.aspx?tid=3822  - Rutgers, Newark (Flex/MM; losing 5 kids)
http://whatif.cincinnati.com/hd/TeamProfile/Default.aspx?tid=3821  - Rutgers, Camden (Motion/MM; losing nobody)
http://whatif.cincinnati.com/hd/TeamProfile/Default.aspx?tid=3825 -  D'Youville (Motion/Zone; losing 4 kids)

Also, fwiw, the NJAC is currently 6th in Conf. RPI and last season we got $3,000+ per team in postseason cash.  We should put 3 into the NT this season out of 9 human coaches, though 2 of these may actually be ghosting and may become available after coach renewals.

Naismith is the world that starts the soonest from now ... if that matters.
