This might be a silly thread, and its possibly just narcissistic to post, but eff it, I'm not one to shy away from a post just for that!

Does anyone kind of keep track of coaches they've mentored? I like to peek in on a few guys that I've helped out from time to time to see how much better than me they are now...

My memory is **** though. I've got some coaches that I think are on my "tree" but I am not sure that they should be (maybe I didn't really mentor them as much as I think, or maybe they already have/had other mentors they consider themselves "branched" from?) and I imagine there could be coaches out there that might be under my limbs that I don't remember.

There are 3 that I can think of off the top of my head that I'd consider branches of my tree.

ethan66 - 948-429 (.688); 1 NC
bakerbarnett - 1704-893 (.656)
fast_eddie - 880-382 (.697)

Like I said, I'm not 100% sure all those guys think the same as me on this, and if there are other coaches that think I'm forgetting about them, please let me know so I can be embarrassed and apologize and then try to remember to notch a branch for you too!

Anyway, I was just curious thinking about this. Anyone else want to share their trees?

It's an honor to be on your list, Dac.  You were a source of great advice when I was starting out.

It is approaching 8 years ago when I started. dogget/woodhouse/dogwood14 helped me when I started, but Alblack56 was truly my mentor for the first year or two.  I have provided help and advice to a lot of new coaches over the years, but I don't know if I was every truly their "Mentor".

I don't know if I'd call to many a "tree" from me. I mean, I've had some deep coaching strategy conversations with patsrule, for example. But I wouldn't really call that mentoring. I guess if someone considered themselves a branch it would be up to them, not me.

Now I feel all lonely and isolated.  I don't have roots or branches.  Just a trunk I guess...
