if you got to the championship game, you would have to convince a bank (or small country) to finance the largest bet possible in Vegas/England/off shore against your bracket pick to assure a multi-million win no matter what the outcome.

yeah, this is definitely the case... well, something along these lines. really i think you'd only need to make it to the elite 8 or something. once you have 7 games and a 1 in 128 worst case, thats already about 8 million expected value. given you are the guy who just got here, they'd have to assume your odds were far higher. i bet you could sell like half your winnings if you win for some pretty nice pocket change. not much difference between a billion and half a billion anyway (even with half going to taxes).

Ask yourself this.    if you were running this show and had a billion dollar prize and say it gets to the final four or title game and there is a perfect bracket would you A. do everything you could to rig the game... paying 1-500 million to fix the game or would you B.  Pay out a billion dollars?

I know you dont go to officials to fix games.  You make deals with conferences and even the NCAA... in case of the tournament you'd have to go through the NCAA.   if you go to an official to fix a game, and the conference finds out its suspension or firing time.  And its not against the law for conferences and the NCAA to rig their own games.  Same for all sports , isnt that funny?  Not against the law to fix your own games.... The NFL and NCAA have been sued in the past and you can find out this by using the freedom of information act ...what was discovered is the NFL and NCAA escaped lawsuit by saying their sport was more of an entertainment like wrestling.
