Recruiting

Hey man, I see you're camped out in Hawaii, and I wanted to ask you if you're going to pursue a player or not. If so, I'm definitely not gonna use up my money to try and get him, but if you don't pursue him, I will. Thought I'd run it by you first.

Let me know if you'd like any Future Stars Recruiting info on players from the west coast....

He is only in his 5 season so I didn't want to report him.  So should I ignore and let him try to win the kid or tell him that you can't share recruiting info.

Yes, the part about sharing FSS info is absolutely a violation of fairplay guidelines.

Should I report him or just tell him he can't do that

5th season it tough because I think you should know by then that sharing that info is against rules. However I don't know if it is very apparent unless you browse the forums which I assume most coaches do. I would advise him he can't do that and if he persists or sends a "I dont care" vibe, then I would report him.

if hes new definitely explain it to him. new coaches aren't given a manual to read or anything, he probably never has heard of "fair play guidelines"

i pretty much agree with this except i dont think most coaches read the forums regularly enough to expect them to be exposed via the forums. i don't assume that about coaches who have been around a while, and definitely not someone only 5 seasons in.

What the hell are you doing in Hawaii?  Not a good place to camp out right now.  There is a hurricane coming.

sharing FSS is not allowed

and allocating players is not allowed - cant share info about who you will go after

BUT, if the guy is rather new to the game, I would advise him you cant do this, point him to this thread and admin comments on threads/dev chats etc

I agree. Direct him to the rules, no need to report him just yet.

that assumes that admin reads the forums - which I dont think one case assume happens systematically

I've sent him a site mail and no response yet. He opened it, so hopefully he got the point. I didn't mention any names so hopefully admin is to lazy to try to figure it out.
