I disagree. You might able to name who won D3 NC championship this year, but you would be hard pressed to tell me who won last year or the year before, whereas most basketball fans can tell you who won last year, the year before, and even 3 years ago.

I agree that they overcompensated for current season in D3 a while back when they made the change.  Way too much fluctuation season to season

So as daalter would say, this is an area where it doesn't make sense for WIS to try and imitate real life.

what change are you referring to? they changed d1 prestige, but i thought d2/d3 prestige has been unchanged for quite some time.

That's my understanding as well.  And the D2 and D3 models are the same
