Can you elaborate? Are you adjusting based on ppfg? Is there a simple formula you use to calculate it?
Since 3's are worth 1.5x more points, they have more value. I do the same as coach arssanguinus.....mutiple the 3 pt. shooting % by 1.5.
So, shooting 33.3% from beyond the arc will give you the same # of points as if you shot 50% in close.
If I want to compare a guards shoot% with a center's, I also use the efg (effective field goal %) that arssanguinus mentioned.
Say your guard has hit 14 of 30 (46.6%) for the season, which includes 4 of 10 from beyond the arc. Take 1/2 of the 4 and add it to the 14. That makes him 16 of 30, for an EFG of 53.3%
