One of my favorite pasttimes is tracking D1 coaching changes.  Now that the CT's are nearly over,  it's started again.

If you hear of any coaches resigning, retiring, or getting fired, let me know.  Also, any interim coaches this season that have been released or elevated to head coach.

Alan Major and Mick Cronin are on medical leave and haven't definitely been cleared to coach next season. So, I've included Charlotte and Cincinnati on this list.

I think Davis from UC has set himself up nicely. That team was a bubble team, at best, when Cronin went on leave. Now they have a chance to wear a white jersey in the tourney. I would imagine he will be offered.

The Chicago Tribune lists six 'names to watch' for DePaul's next coach

1) Mark Aguirre- the DePaul  All-American wants to coach and recently finished his degree so he'd be eligible

2) Tyrone Corbin- Also a DePaul All-American, he was recently fired as coach of the Sacramento Kings

3) Bryce Drew- Valparaiso

4) Ben Howland- formerly at UCLA.  He wants to coach again but only at a school that could win a national title

5) Taveras Hardy- Georgetown assistant

6) Steve Masiello- Manhattan. He was hired by So. Florida last year but lost the job because he lied about having a degree from Kentucky. He's since completed his degree

I think DePaul may need to look at someone with close ties with Chicago.  And the powers within that city that control prep hoops.
The DePaul AD at times tends to be way out there with some of her priorities.  If DePaul offers $2+ million like they did with Purnell, I would think the line would be quite lengthy.  If they ever get plans for a new arena worked out with the city of Chicago one would think they'd need a revenue producer which DePaul men's hoops hasn't been in a couple decades.

Aguirre is an interesting name with no head coaching experience.  A wild card. Could work out.  Could be a disaster.
A Ty Corbin hire checks some of the boxes, but could need recruiting assistance.
Hardy spent time as a Northwestern assistant.
