At a loss - depth chart Topic

I have a very young team, but a few good upperclassman. I know my classes are out of balance. But with all of that being said, I am at a loss as to what my depth chart should look like this season, especially for pg. And also playing for future, or for now. I run a motion/zone. Here is the team with potential. Thanks for the help.

PG - Bozeman, Thompson, Puig, Williams
SG - Meadow, Puig, Thompson, Williams
SF - Shank, Matson, Meadow, Bozeman
PF - Johnson, Blevins, Duvall, Matson
C - Duvall, Cupples, Johnson, Blevins
RS - Darling
This is how I'd start and I'd run slowdown and tweak it after a couple games, very young which makes winning right now though but there's potential there. Real lack of speed/BH/pas up top but you have to play with the hand your dealt. Bozeman at +2, Matson at 0, is a good starting point too. I like Matson coming off and probably being your leading scorer, maybe even set him at "Tired". Darling would benefit from a RS season to help get the Ath and Reb #'s up. Johnson can score but I wouldn't rely on him too much with the low Ath. WE in your bigs is HORRENDOUS, that's gonna set you back some.
My 2 cents, hope it's helpful

I would definitiely start Cupples over Duvall. He's way better even at the moment and has the potential to be excellent. Other than that deuce deuce has some good ideas. But I wouldn't set Matson at "tired", but "getting tired" is  a good call. I also think Johnson will be a good scorer along side Bozeman in the starting lineup. He's your # 3 scorer but still a good one.  Overall, your team looks like a 1st round out in the NT if you manage the team well, maybe better. Good luck

PG: Bozeman/Thompson/blank/Puig
SG: Meadow/Thompson/Puig/Williams
SF: Matson/Shank/Blevins/Williams
PF: Johnson/Blevins/Darling
C:  Duvall/Cupples/blank/Darling

once IQs improve I would look at starting Cupples over Duvall and Thompson at PG moving Bozeman to starting SG and coming off bench with Meadow.

I would probably be playing for the future, so I'd be starting Thomson at the point to get his WE up. Also would start Duvall at the 4 and Cupples at the 5 (not sure how you got him at DIII). Matson at the 3 and Bozeman at the 2.

Thank you all for the help. I think I will be playing for the future, and getting some work ethic up. Btw, trail, I battled a d2 A- school for Cupples. Deffinately glad I got him.

Um... why in the world did you RS Bozeman?  He should be starting for you.  And if you're building for next year, he'll leave anyway because of the RS.

he wont leave from the redshirt

If i decided to build for the future, and I think next year has potential, well then let's redshirt my best player, as a senior, and bring him back next year. I had read somewhere on the forums he wouldn't leave. Yes his work ethic will plummet, but he is basically maxed, and I will need scoring next year. So i could be wrong with it. But when I was in wooden on a team, all season long I regretted not doing this, so I figured I would give it a shot.  May be foolish, but the fun of this game, is trying things out and seeing what works.

Apologies if I passed along bad information... I thought that when you redshirted an upperclassman and he was angry then there was a significant risk that he would transfer at the end of the season.  Live and learn.
