D1 ridiculousness Topic

I first want to lead off saying that hoff is a really cool dude, he and I were conference mates in the CVAC for a lot of years and I respect the hell out of him.  However, after waiting the game out for 40 seasons, he was magically eligible for D1 again.

The resume is not impressive at all, but this gets you a D1 job, but 36 NT bids and 36 NT wins doesn't, and a D2 national championship doesn't...but this does...

someone won a DII NC and wasnt eligible for a DI job?  That seems crazy

If you leave the game, you're allowed back in at your prior level. I think it's to encourage coaches to return

This is not (always) true.

I've also heard of cases where coaches sleep on renewal and don't qualify for the job they had less than 24 hours prior
