Request for Assist Record Lookup Topic

I'm trying to find out what the all-time, all-divisions career record is for assists (in HD).  But I only have access to the player records page for the world that I am in (Tark and Knight).  Would anyone be so kind as to tell me the record in the other worlds (if you are in any of the other 10 worlds).  Again, this is for career assists, from Stats / Player Records / Assists, taking the highest out of D1, D2, and D3.  Thanks in advance for anyone who responds.

Wow. Geiser will likely shatter the record.

Thanks so far guys.

I'm still looking for Smith world, but until then 898 is the number to beat.

Larry Geiser on my Guilford team in Tark has 575 assists with ~40 games (almost finished with conference play in his junior year) left in his HD career.  He's currently averaging 8.6 per game this season, so if that number holds he'd finish with 919.  And we play zone at a normal tempo, so we don't even have that many possessions, which make his numbers even more amazing.  Right now he is averaging an assist on every third basket by the team.

Can anyone in Rupp tell me the name, team, and seasons played of the guy in D3 who had 898 assists? Geiser needs it for motivation.

Claude Allard is your motivation.  Martin Luther College, seasons 37-41.

It's kinda weird, I guess it has to do with how good your shooters are?  I've had a number of PGs who were definitely better than Geiser.  The high WE, very solid starting PASS, and 4-year starter status all obviously help as well.  But the 8.6 he's averaging this year is on par with the best assist season I've ever had from one of my guys, and he had better BH, better passing, and better speed.  I also play triangle, but you wouldn't think (based on real-world knowledge) that flex would have a big assist advantage for the PG over triangle.  I would actually think, if programmed well, that flex would give the least assists to the PG, since he should be handling the ball least in that set.

Yeah, by no means is Geiser the best PG every to play the game, but he has been paired with multiple 90+ PE shooters (2-3 each season) every season so far.  Basically I think it's just a combination of the team scoring a lot of points and Geiser having high ST and P.

This season's team has good passing at PG/SG/SF: 85/81/70.  Dahs, I know you're high on passing, so maybe you've had a better passing in your guards than that, but I never have.  Incidentally, this season and last were possibly the best two offenses I've ever coaches, in terms of efficiency.

Claude Allard (mentioned above) didn't shoot often, but he knocked down nearly every shot he took. 88.2% from the field for his career is pretty darn amazing in itself.
