Best set-up to always compete in DIII.

Zorzii, you are too focused on class set up.  Yes, you will need a few upperclassmen a year to really compete, but just focus on going and getting the best players.

I do, but to be honest, my set up is stupid in OHU. I am 1-1-4-6 right now. In DII, you can survive this... But in DIII, I doubt top coach get stuck in a set-up like mine.

None of the above. It's less about class size and more about player development and always being able to plan a few seasons in advance.

I had a 1-2-5-4 for a while at Maryville. Won a national championship in the 4-1-2-5 year and made the elite eight in the year with only three upperclassmen. It can be done.

Back about 30 seasons ago in Iba when BunkerBuster went on the historic run of 5 titles in six seasons he had adopted the 6 and 6 theory. He beat me in the title game with 6 SR and 6 JR. I do believe he actually won it one season with 6 FR and 6 SOPH.

I literally pay no attention to class makeup....I couldn't tell you what my ratio is on any of my teams.

My Redlands team is 3-3-1-3 with a RS and walkon.....there is no option for that.
