Have you guys ever decided to leave a team behind, only to regret it later on based on performance?

I decided to trim my teams and let go of a DIII Rupp team. 9 of the guys were signed by me, two were sim ai signings.

Those 9 guys account for a 73.88 ATH and a 76.88 DEF. The 8 best are 75.75 and 80.38

Biggest regret in HD lol

I left Knight DII Merrimack to play one season in D1 before I planned to leave WIS. brad 23 took over the stacked roster and led then to a DII national title. And of course I have continued to play WIS for many many seasons ... without winning a title.

Check out seasons 55-58...

Regrets, I've had a few.
Far too many not to mention.
I did what I wanted to. Regardless of the imperfection.
Stumbling along the course. Each random stop slowly unwinding.
And so, I clench my fists, and just ask, "Why, man?"

(* I want to say that collegeboss deserves at worst 95% of the credit for those 2 titles - the 1st one had a mix of players between us, last one only one of my guys remained (even if he was NPOY) -- plus he ran the team differently (and likely better) than I had previously, so quite likely I don't win those 2 titles if I'd stayed - but you always have that What If... feeling)

I got a full six men recruits at Ponoma Pitzer... Left the team, it went final four, three years later. Imagine if I would have recruited the rest of the team.

I regret leaving Mississippi State ..in the 60's seasons there. But I really don't like Div-1 recruiting at all.

Sure. I've left HD a number of times over the last few years, only to return. I always regret the leaving but I sometimes find myself regretting that I came back, too.

I had a nice 10-12 season run at SUNY maritime in Smith, kept losing in f4, e8, s16 whatever. Then had my best team by far and was upset in the final four so I got mad and left. They won the NT the next season

After I won the D2 title a bunch of years ago, I decided to jump to D1. I left a pretty stacked team at the time, a team I could have tried to build a dynasty with, in exchange for mediocre D1 team. It led to me quitting HD altogether, but I'm such a hoops junkie I can't stay away.
