I use 20, but I believe 21 is actually the correct projection number so I guess it just comes down to getting those last few decimal places and hitting 99.5

Because you could have 20.4 potential which would put a 78.5 at 98.9 which is a 99 and the lowest 99 you could have.

I think starting ratings and potential caps are all integers. So his potential is either exactly 99 or exactly 100. My understanding used to be that when high potential drops to average he should have 20.x to go, and at 79.x that would theoretically let him cap at 100. But my recent experience has been that it will be capped at 20 above the visible rating when potential goes to black. Not sure when that happened, or if I've just been unlucky. But I haven't seen anybody drop to black and then improve 21 from there in years.

But it was black at 79, not blue at 79. If it were blue at 79 I would think 100, too.

Although, even that leaves me a bit confused, because I had a guy who was blue at 79, but went to red at 93 a month or so ago.

It can get to 100 from 79/blue changing to 79/black. I'm certain that in the last year or so I've had at least one player get 21 points out of a black attribute.

The real test for 100 is if you see 93/black.

Yes, red at 93 would also point towards it having 100 potential. Now whether it actually hits 100 is another story. That last point is soooo difficult to get

I guess we don't know if there was ever a 79 blue on this kid. I was assuming not.

My guy is a sophomore, so we should get a pretty good idea of his cap with only a handful of points left to grow...

No I pulled him down from D2.

I take it back he wasn't a pull down.

If he can score like he has in the last five games consistently, than he might just be a NPOY contender next season.

Yeah I had a SF that was a year ahead of him and I didn't use this guy the right way. The upperclassman for some reason scored better maybe because Fields got the best defender but mostly I didn't use him right.

A 52 speed and 74 perimeter is more than enough to be an effective 3pt shooter at d3, After some more digging, he is probably best staying at -1. I didn't realize he was the PG.

That team could be pretty good if you'd recruit a real pg and a pure perimeter shooter. The sub 30 PASS at PG is going to hold you back. You're a starting PG and a off the bench shooter away from wins in the NT.

Team has improved tenfold over the past ten games. 58 now in projection with all winnable games left in the season. Should at least make the NT and rack 20 wins barring an upset. I agree though, a true PG is what I couldn't attain. Burligame *cough*
