My goals for the next two seasons Topic

Oh my bad, I was trying to link you guys to my past players page I guess that might not work, I'll show you my team this year which is the same as the PIT championship team last year Except for a loss of 1 bench player. To bad I can't show some of my old rosters, because I think that would help.

IMHO, you shouldn't have specific goals at this point. Nor should you have plans to switch to oddball schemes like all littles or all bigs. Become competent at playing this game conventionally first.

The best thing you can do for now is try to make your next recruit better than your last one. Keep doing that and you'll learn a lot.

FYI, this is a team that can realistically win the PIT.

You're hoping so, eh?

Frankly, I'm not even sure that that looks like a PIT champion. I know this sounds ironic for me to say (check out my current group of guards), but it looks like you're emphasizing offense over defense too much when recruiting guards. You need a couple of perimeter scorers, but your guards don't have to all be perimeter scorers.

Getting multiple recruits over 600 is fairly normal (FYI I have 5), I do pull down from D2 but I don't think any of those guys are, just high potential guys, look at their starting ratings. There are plenty of teams that have multiple guys over 600. Also you should not be focusing on overal rating, it's about core stats.

This is a team with 6 guys over 600 and a couple more that are close

This is the best PG I have had, he is still on my team
https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=0&pid=3267688

This is my FAVORITE player I have ever had, especially at D3, he is a great shooting guard that could play the PG , he could effectively score in bunches
https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerHistory/Ratings.aspx?&pid=3108574

those are two guys that you should shoot for in a guard, especially when you want a scoring guard.

When people say you can sacrifice some ratings to get an effective played here is an example
https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=0&pid=3227636

He has a low DE, maybe a little too low, but he is 80+ in speed, Stamina and PE, and 70+ in BH and P. He was High in DE when I got him but he went red right away, kind of dissapointing.

Look at some of my other players, my team isn't great, mainly because I am not a fantastic coach, but I think it's more attainable than most other teams that people will show you.

This guy might have gotten to 800 had I gotten him as a freshman, I picked him up as a juco, should have redshirted him, he would have been fantastic had he gotten IQ and ratings up

The last 5 days of the non conference schedule is when I prioritize and scout recruits (excluding the off day). I based them on defense and work ethic. Then I go into scheduling the non conference games when rpi is finalized. So then I can focus on the conference games.
