Recruiting starts today...give a shout out for any off-season changes that took place in your league. I tried to eyeball everyone to see if anything jumped out at me, but didn't see much.

I'd say the biggest off-season developments are that bunkerbuster is now back at Piedmont to coach a recruiting class of seniors that he brought in and that had the team looking strong while under Sim control last year. The ASC added some humans it looks like. I think every conference had at least one warm body in it. I didn't see any long-time coaches that had switched programs or vanished from the game this time around, but may have missed some faces.

Give a shout out if there's something in your league that demands early attention and good luck on the recruiting trail!

In my opinion, Eastbay landing stud jucos Turman and Willett takes him from very solid team to legit title contender

I didn't scout CA, what are the potentials on those guys?  I would say whether they know CSUE's sets already will be a big factor in how far they can take Eastbay.

Just noticed that gatorfan2005 is back... he coached Adrian to lots and lots of NT appearances.  He has landed at Finlandia, in Michigan conference once again.  Give him a few seasons and I'm sure he'll be right back near the top.

I haven't gotten a response from CS yet, but I'm just going to throw this out there.  I believe the new user rhcp at Brockport is an alias that was used to attack the GNE during recruiting.  The facts:

The user id was created just a few days ago.
The C+ school in an otherwise all-sim conf has 8 open spots and did nothing visible until 1pm the day of signings.
At 1pm, they poached 2 recruits, one considering only J&W and another considering only Rivier.
They've since signed both, and have taken no further visible actions.

I call bullshit on that.  No brand new user would recruit that way, and no vet legitimately recruiting would only have 2 signed still.

I hope it was not someone already in Rupp, because that's pretty childish and pathetic.

Very interesting.  We had a guy come in at Southwestern a few seasons ago... cut tons of players and made just one or two comments on the conference board (we are always talking to each other too)... then split after one season.  It was really annonying.  The team had made the elite 8 the previous season (as a sim, but with human recruited players).... the team was on the down slide already, but he completely ruined them.

Now to deliberately hurt another team in recruiting like you suspect is pretty lame.

I noticed this as well and thought it was very, very strange.

I didn't scout any of the states you signed players from, so I can't say much about them individually.  But signing 11 guys is pretty impressive by itself.  Most coaches, especially newer coaches, would waste a lot of money and end up not filling all those spots.  My very first recruiting effort, for comparison, involved fighting 3 different schools for 3 different crappy players to fill 3 spots.  I signed none of them, but it was a good learning experience.  You're definitely ahead of the curve.

Great start to your Rupp career, and gl this season!
