Message to any D2 coaches reading this thread: don't treat D3 schools like sim teams. If you show up on a D3's high priority target with a few thousand worth of effort, you're just wasting everyone's time. Go big or go home.
Obviously that's partially motivated by some frustration on my part, but seriously I see D2 coaches all the time say things like "I don't know what happened, I just got in battles everywhere I turned." Well yeah, you sought them out. If you're in two D2 battles with say 4 open spots, don't come after a 3rd battle by expecting to just run over a high prestige D3 team. They will fight back, especially when you come in late, and you've just made your situation much worse.
