Haha...+1 jsa

Oh and ez...you may not have the title yet (key word), but you've got the talent.  You'd fit just fine in a conference like the NAC or even Naismith UAA.

Thank you pepwaves, that's quite the compliment- especially coming from you.

Final Scores on the season have come out. University claims the strongest conference again with the North Coast closing in. We could probably have some fun battles in years to come. BrianXavier's players and team impresses the most.

You guys want me to set up a poll to vote on MVP again? Have any players in mind? I also have a few in mind if you guys want to vote.

edit* That's my 200th post. Yay!!!

I think that qualifies as the stat of the day!

I see three of my Way Too Early Final Four picks (Millsaps, Chapman and Whittier) have all been stuffed in the same region by the selection committee...that ought to be fun to watch.

All four 12 seeds win in the opening round. Also a pair of 15 over 2's and a 14 sneaking through...upset city baby!! It's pandemonium in the ranks!
7/22/2014 6:01 AM
Holy crap!  I am stunned!
7/22/2014 7:51 AM
I wouldn't be surprised if there was more upheaval in the West tomorrow because I think the vastly overrated #1 seed is going down in Round 2.
7/22/2014 8:06 AM
Well, we lost our first number 1 seed. But is wasn't zeuspole's team as he feared. Interesting tournament so far. Lots of top teams still remain, but a few big dogs have gone down. Just about anything can happen, but teams that shall not be named still look strong (not trying to jinx anyone)

Coach rednu is announcing his (hopefully temporary) retirement at the end of this season at W. New England.

Was offered and accepted a new job out in Hawaii and need to take at least one season off to coordinate the move, get re-established and get settled in to the new surroundings (and, yes, by settled in, I probably DO mean "have lots of tropical rum-based drinks while staring out at the ocean from a beach"...). Hopefully I'll find my way back with time, because i really do enjoy the game and the community that's been created here...although strategically, I'm not sure how I'll deal with the mini-window for recruiting running at noon and games simulating at 8 p.m.

Can't believe I just now saw this, best of luck out there in the pacific, hope you can make it back sooner than later...we'll try to keep things together while you're gone, haha.

Thanks nacho! First day at the new gig is tomorrow...then a week of prep and then the students start rolling in already (eeeek!!)

Interesting Final Four...Menlo makes it without a senior on the roster (can I call them for a Way Too Early Final Four for next year?)...Hardin-Simmons is also looking young with six freshmen and an additional three sophs. Not what I would necessarily call your typical Final Four configurations and potentially boding ahead at things to come down the road in Rupp.

Meanwhile, the defending champs march on.

ETA -- Looks like the Menlo roster was recruited entirely from a C or C- team prestige as well. Very nice work!

I know I always say stuff like this, but that Menlo team is very impressive and I think Millsaps will be lucky to advance. At first glance they remind me of Dickinson, who took care of me early in the season. Regardless of what happens this season they will be final four pick next year and strong contender to win the championship.
