Head Knockers (with all those fouls heads are gonna fly)

Captains D Wade, Buck Williams, Willis Reed

D Wade:
04-5 Mourning
10-11 Bibby
11-12 Turiaf

Buck Williams
83-4 Mike Gminski Nets
91-2 Drexler Blazers
97-8 Charlie Ward Knicks
91-2 Ennis Whatley Blazers

Willis Reed
67-8 Walt Frazier
68-9 DeBusschere

What I like: FTA and rebounding should be very good. Defense is excellent as well with starters being 86,100, 90, 70 & 90. The bench is good. I am actually using Drexler off the bench. Somewhat for usg issues and also I love having a big scorer off the bench. IRL I always bring one of my best players off the bench. Kind of and ace in the hole and it helps with chemistry. I also like that I was able to cover for the loss of Porter with one of the last few picks by having Frazier and Ward waiting in the wings. I had a feeling Porter or Frazier would be picked and I'd live with the other. I'm happy overall the way the draft turned out.

What I don't like: Fouls and TO's are way too high for my liking. Losing Porter did hurt in this area because he would of been my lowest FPG starter and he also would have helped with FG% which also could be a little bit of a problem. I could have too much usage on the court at times with Drex, Wade and Reed in together for awhile which won't allow Wade to maximize his numbers which at times can be astounding. Hopefully my very strong defense ( I would be surprised if anyone else had all 8 of their major players with D's over 70) will allow me to at least have a better fg% than my opponents and my high FTA can offset my high fouls. I should at least be a strong playoff contender.

Here's what I have so far.

Karl "Mailman" Malone

Stephen Howard 96-97 Jazz

Chauncey "Mr. Big Shot" Billups
Blake Show Griffin  11-12 Clippers
Amir Johnson 07-08 Pistons
Jon Barry   02-03 Pistons
Chris Andersen 08-09 Nuggets
Derrick Brown 10-11 Knicks

Elton Brand
Andre Iguodala  11-12 Sixers
Jodie Meeks 9-10 Sixers
Royal Ivey 9-10 Sixers

I like the high fg% and decent rebounding of Malone/Griffin.  Birdman and Amir step in to lock it down for 20 mins a game.  I went with defense at the 2 with Andre over 3's.  Might change that.  Iggy finally has a season with usable eFG.  Nice boards and assists too.  Chauncey is Chauncey.  Blake's assists were a nice addition.  Still considering Dantley rather than Blake.

10/28/2012 7:43 PM
My team will be in by the weekend.  This is not an easy task.  It's hard to get everything you want a team to have, sacrifices have to be made somewhere.
10/29/2012 9:00 AM
By the weekend? Christ why the rush. Take your sweet time. Oh except you've already had a week and 3/4 of the teams are in.
10/29/2012 9:30 AM
At least I have my team listed here in the forums.  Several do not have that yet and that is why I was under the impression there was no hurry.
10/29/2012 11:45 AM
If everyone had that attitude, we'd never get a league off the ground.
10/29/2012 1:58 PM
****, sorry.  I haven't even looked at my team in a few days.  Mind has been... elsewhere.  I'll get it in by tonight.
