Thx elei. The Magic Johnson / Oscar Robertson pairing is alittle worrisome. I don't think there's a much stronger backcourt to be had in the 70's.
NP Also the Frazer, Westphal back court is pretty strong also.  Westphal has some monster years,  I would know have him in my ATBA team..  Not sure what apple is doing with Marquez Johnson and Bobby Jones
Winning

I'm surprised by how many teams drafted 2 guards or 2 forwards. Frazier/Westphal, Oscar/Magic, Archibald/Buse and for 2 Bigs Walton/Roundfield, Daniels/Boerwinkle, Cunningham/McGinnis, Cowans/Wise. Interesting
What's interesting about Cunningham he has one season where he's 100% at PG

Not complaining because we are so far ahead, but just want to thank everyone who uses proxies.

I thought Parish should have gone sooner. He should be a impact 'center' in this decade.
7/18/2013 5:44 PM
I considered Parish strongly with my second rounder, but at the last second was wooed by Boerwinkle's passing and slightly better rebounding numbers.  Chief's got a very good season for this league - high in PFs, but then so are a lot of other players.  Great value where he was taken.

Elei, you may want to copy the "rosters by division"(RBD) post instead of the owner/player list. The DDL draft is unique in that we know who's being drafted into our division, and we draft to offset our division mates picks. Thx for updating this thread..I just don't have the time to do it. btw - page 1 of the draft thread is updated to pick#40

I think I know who you are talking about, but in agony.  Wish I could draft two players at my spot!  If they are both there...

I hope one of the guys was Bellamy

That's the two players that I thought should go way before they did...Bellamy & Parish. But there's one more player I can't believe is still there....

Rudy T is another guy who's good value for the second round in this league - an efficient scorer with decent usage and a decent rebounder for the SF spot.
7/18/2013 11:28 PM
I agree LTB, Rudy T. is definately an impact player in a 70's league. The near star quality player pool is very good in the 70's. This decade has the players to execute any team design, with the exception of the high perimeter game. But there'll be a boat load of perimeter players in the 90's & 3rd millinium. I'm trying to build teams that feature the main attributes of each decade, so when we go to the high perimeter game decades I'll do my best to bring a great perimeter team. Should be fun...
