I don't disagree at all with where these players went in the draft, I just think the ODL is a Center dominant draft. Actually this is the fisrt draft where I selected my big man 1st. It's the Bird pick that's off, imo Bird @ 17th is as valuble, or slightly more valuble than Durant @ 10th pick. Also, if CP & Wade are in the correct draft position then Magic & Stockton are a bit late. There's still a player that imo is top 12 floating around out there too...wow.

Julius Erving at 12 is a lot earlier than he's normally drafted.  I was a bit surprised that Barkley fell to 16th.

One good thing about drafting your own division is that if you are league runner-up then the teams you rank 19 and 20 cannot be in your division, and the champ avoids teams 18,19 and 20. So, no matter what I don't plan on being in the same division as Nc or Ash again, regardless of how the draft turns out.

The top 19 are virtually identical to last draft. Only Dr J jumped in wheras he went 29 last yr.
I think you can win a title with any of the players taken so far plus a couple more guys. Hard to argue with any of the picks since it comes to personal preference and none of them would be around for round 2 anyway. I doubt the doctor falls to 29 often but a great asset to build around

Dr. J has had a recent surge.  He was a mid/late 2nd rounder for the past few years.

Hard to see how a 54.7 EFG, 100 D season drops very far, but fair enough

lots of people use the wrong dr. j.  That particular one (which is my favorite) is too board lite for the three and (for a long time was seen as having) too few threes for a two.  Game is changing, though.

Penny the 2nd pick of the 2nd round.  I remember when he was a 3rd to 4th round pick.  But he might be worth it, he low TO and Fouls good defense and typically outperforms his RL stats...

I think if Penny had 4 more % DREB he'd be a perpetual 1st rd pick

I'm confused about the KG pick @ 30th. IMO he's a top 12 pick..??? Had Karl Malone been gone, I probably would have taken KG 7th.

his relatively low efg is probably a factor - I had a KG/Pippen team with as% around 100% totally crap the bed on me a few iterations back

kg is a beast...but theres still 12 better players...he doesnt dominate offensively like other top picks...and in the odl his salary becomes a problem

dh, I looked at KG @ $9.8M..it's the 27 use%. At 286drbs, 194ast% & 90D, who shoots 50 x 80%..if the was 29+use%, bingo. But I still think 30th is a gift.

Wonder if you could make KG work @ the 3...lol.
