W. New Mexico's 5 freshman have an average ATH of 66 and Defense of 56 with a lot of room for growth.  Could be a very good class down the road.  Pretty happy with the recruiting.

Loved Hoffman & surprised you didn't have any competition for Norwood.  If the other 3 are as good, very nice class.

Bellarmine struggled to find a good center. I lost battles to Pfeiffer, Hillsdale, and Humboldt. I finally signed the 'least objectionable' center from California. This is the first time in many seasons that I had to leave the region

Thanks Dave, I was shocked as well that I had no competition for Norwood or Hoffman.  If Hoffman takes a redshirt he could be an AA by end of his career.   I also had to back off Scott Braud from you as the proximity was clearly in your favor.  I did lose my #1 in a C from CO in Newton.  Adams State did a great job pulling him away (8k in) in 1 cycle.  Waters (high/high in DEF, SPD and PER), Chute(high/high in PASS and DEF) with several averages  and Pizano (high/high in ATH, SPD,PASS and LP) all will be very good as well.  What I like the most is ATH, SPD and DEF will go up in all of them.  If my calculations are correct we could start the season with a 63 ATH and a 65 DEF.  I may be lacking depth, but I can live with those numbers.

I brought in a very good class.  I couldn't recruit many of my targets with such a low prestige but that shouldn't be a problem for much longer.  JUCO's and potential will make my team tough next year, unfortunately this year will probably end just above .500 again.  Also, I brought in a 689 rated transfer.  I was shocked.

really liked smith, and my two guards i took.  the center is going to be pretty good as well.  Both Guards have high-high in spd, def, and ath.  so that will be pretty good hopefully

Recruiting is over.  Pre-season top 3 are CSU Chico, Harding, & Incarnate Word.  Lynn has the highest rated team.  Who do you like?  Who is a sleeper?  discuss.

Not that he is a sleeper, but Belmont Abbey would be my pick.  ATH of 68 is crazy.

First off - Longwood's not making a whole lot of noise this season. We'll probably get into the NT with a mediocre seed, but we're not a heavy hitter. Our team is still solid, but no star power.

Bel Abbey is likely to take the CVAC - and possibly make a deep run in the NT - but I think that IW is the best team in DII right now, and will only improve.

Defending champ Bowie St will breeze through his conference again and CSU Chico is loaded with sr experience.

I am not allowed to create my own schedule anymore.  In what is clearly a rebuilding year for NJTech, my non-con slate currently has 8 teams on it ranked #19 or higher in the preseason.

Just hope we don't go 0-fer

IW is my division of my conference, and when I saw that Servin has another year of eligibility, I began crying.

Yes, he's got this season and next.  Still average potential in DEF, PER, & Free Throws.  Still high in LP.

On a related note, we have 3 of the top 15 players by ratings (Servin included).  Not a single one of them made even honorable mention Pre-season teams.  They're motivated now.

My final four picks - Incarnate Word, Bel Abbey, CSU Chico, and Ouachita Baptist.

IW over Chico in the NT final.

Final prediction.
