He is not being a jerk.  But no one wants to hear about someone coming along and "stealing a recruit".  Until they are signed, they are fair game.  Anyone who does not understand that is just crying.

Now....having said that.....I'll refer to the "griefing post" from Norbert.  No one should do stuff just to be a jerk.

I don't say he's griefing but season after season?  I guess it could be coincidence as our schools are reletively close.  But why always in the next to last cycle?  This was an STL that he says he had his eye on from the beginning.  I had a CV and AC scout on him for a long time.  Yet he turns him yellow the cycle before signing?  BS.  This isn't a one time deal with him.  But  as Slid said.  Get even.  I won't be griefing per say as I intend to adopt a new recruiting strategy.  I don't have my brothers conscience.  There are going to be some surprised coaches next season and too bad for them.  All the DLs from one team, All the QBs from another.  Just rumminating.  Time I did what others are saying.  Maybe if I screw over a few of those guys it will put my team over the top. 

To my knowledge, I do not play in any worlds that you are active.  (Let's get that out of the way right now.)  But, if I knew that you (or anyone else, for that matter) spent a lot of time and money looking for STL's, it does seem that a decent strategy would be to do my normal recruiting early, wait a day or so and then scout the guys you are recruiting looking for the real gems you have found.  Whether I engage those recruits or not (and when) would probably depend on what competitive advantages/disadvantages are in play and what my other options are, but it sure would be something I would consider very carefully.  At D3 and D2, potential is king and STLs are not fungible.

I expect nothing less of you and several others.  That is exactly what happens regularly.  So another part of enjoyment goes out of the game for me.  I know it is no big deal to some of you guys to push others out of the game but why?  Why not learn to find them yourself?  Like I said MOST of the ones I find come after signing.  I get an occasional one in my initial searches most come later.  My logic is you guys sniping keeps me from going to find them later because I still have to get quality people for the team.  Your sniping costs me dollars and YOU dollars that could be better spent.  I try to keep 3 spots open after signing starts to find STLs.  I was getting a couple every year.  Then the sniping started and a bunch of guys decided to do what you said and now it is down to .75 a year.  That other 1.25/ year is still out there but some coaches don't know what to look for and it is easier to raid someone else.  For me recruiting WAS fun being able to find those 2 STLs a year.  Now that fun is gone too.  So now NOBODY gets those guys.  That's why I say it is stupid and that there is PLENTY of talent out there.  I know a lot of you guys are enamoured with the Gridiron Dynasty ratings and what not, but they aren't the end all of how guys are rated.  I've put my players in the positions that it says they should go in and got my *** kicked.  Then I put the guys where they really should go and voila, my team plays well.  If WIS or Dynasty says you are #1 great.  But that is their system.  I think Maddies ratings are the closest. 

Way to go Arfy.  I suppose you're going to ruin Christmas next.

So you're saying we should just keep letting you get all the STL's?
