Hey there GD Community!

As some of you may know, I am a student at the University of Northern Iowa and for one of my classes, a required project is gathering research for a final paper over quantitative research methods. This requires that I do some sort of quantitative research regarding communication. For this purpose,  I have created a survey designed to find out if political ideology affects how and where people gather information about politics (specifically the upcoming election.). SO, here is what I ask of you, WIS community, at the bottom of this post you will find a URL that is a link to the survey. Please complete it and perhaps post here to let me know you have if you would like.

NOW, HEAR (or more appropriately, see) ME SAY:
DO NOT let this degrade into a political feud. The point of the research is not necessarily to know who your choice for president is, but rather if the candidate/party you support has any affect on media use. If you have any questions about the research, feel free to ask and I will attempt to answer them to the best of my ability. Thank you for reading and if you take the survey, awesome, thanks!!! But if not, that's perfectly fine as well.

Best Regards,
Matt

LOL. Thanks... so do I... LOL... I just found out that the article analysis for this class that I thought was due next week is actually due tomorrow... so failing doesn't seem so outlandish as of right now...

That's fair. Can't say I blame you. If it helps, just know that political views don't really make a difference. I'm more interested in what media outlets people pay attention to as a result of their political ideals. This is super interesting to me and the reason I chose to do my research on this particular topic. At any rate, that's perfectly fine. Thanks for considering though!

Did it  GL

One issue that I ran onto with the survey: with question 2 when I wrote someone's name in instead of voting for one of the two or doing not sure it said I hadn't answered the question and wouldn't accept my survey. So I checked the no one box and left  the write in name in the box. Now not sure if it still acknowledged my write in candidate or not.
