MAMA in Bryant has a SIM recruited WR that was intentionally left off of any depth chart, somehow found 1% PP, was thrown to twice with 1 catch for 8 yds. How does he grow 42 pts in a season???

Good work ethic and training program. His attributes are so terrible it's easy to improve them all that much.

I might buy the argument about his scores being so low that he has nowhere to go but up. But 15% in a single year in which he was bullied harder than a Dolphin OL???

Ha!  Haven't seen an Incognito mention in awhile!

The player doesn't necessarily have to to be an STL, like jfootball says, he has a nice WE and his starting attributes were loooow...

For any new guys, this actually is pretty instructive, in that at D3 it's not all about what the guy looks like when you sign him, it's more about what he will grow into...

Some players will also grow at different rates, some more the FR year and some later on. You can figure that out from the AC scout reports.

I have had stl grow 60 to 70 in d3.  D1 I have had them into the 40's.

40 at DIII certainly doesn't = stl. I've never had a stl and I've had freshmen grow that much.

thanks for the input guys. Those are all good points that I have kinda noticed over the past 12 months-can't believe I've been coaching that long already. I've never had a SIM grow like that, so I wasn't sure what to think. Add to that the fact that I intentionally kept him out of line-up, and it just wasn't adding up. Much like a round of golf, it shows me once again that I am FAR from getting a handle on this game.

Thanks again all. See you on the gridiron.

And jfootball, sorry your wildly innovative offense tanked out, but I have complete confidence that you will be able to once again find a way to confound and exasperate the rest of the community! I can't wait to see what you can come up with next!
